So... here's the truth:
If you're spiraling for 3 hours every time he goes quiet,
or initiating conversations with him,
googling what to do,
or doubting yourself or your relationship all the time...
you're ALREADY doing work (even if it reinforces your ANXIOUS attachment)
This just redirects that energy into 10 minutes of regulation instead.
And honestly? Even if you only use ONE step of the protocol. Even if you take one gold nugget out of this. THIS will be worth it.
For me, 5 years later, I still use this protocol. It now takes about 3 minutes total.
Even if you do it messy? It's better than reinforcing the old anxious pattern over and over.
